SEAC – Special Education Advisory Committee Information
- Each district school board is required to establish a SEAC.
- SEACs are legislated under the Education Act and Regulation 464/97.
- Membership on a SEAC provides an opportunity to positively influence the direction that Special Education Programs and Services take in your local school board.
- To become a member of your school board’s SEAC, representing the Blind/Low Vision exceptionality, you first have to be nominated by VIEWS which is an incorporated provincial association and have local VIEWS membership.
